Why universities are manufacturers of degree holders instead of developers of Scientists?

Khudi Welfare Foundation raised a question on the topic that we have lot of educated personal in society but very few are creative scientists.
Why our coaching institutions couldn't provide our state with scientists?
Why only few students are considered brilliant in a class and other students are considered average or poor students?
What's the fault of a student having least grades?
Is it true that failure of student is just because of student and teacher is not involved?

In my views the teachers or professors are the person who were among bright students. They are hired in higher institutions like universities after a tough competition. So how can these teachers having good grades can solve the problems of poor students?
So to raise the voice of poor students just like me, KWF asked a question on social media for review. Some students and teachers appreciated us and also a teacher discouraged us greatly but we don't feel those people such important to be discussed here. We are greatly thankful to students and respectable teachers who appreciated us.
So we are going to share review here by sequence.

1. Arslan Sandhu (Animal Sciences):
Actually point is that being a nation hm rajj k nkamy log hae..... Hr bnda sirf shortcut se paisa kmana chahta ha... Institutions bb paisa kma rhy hae... Scientists peda krny k liy mehnat chaiiy ha jo na hm students krna chahty na hmie teachers krwana chahty....
Solution is only that k.... Merit........ Graduates with practical degree not only 4/4 CGPA.....
AND best solution is youth should given vocational trainings instead of these degrees... Students should be able to create some... And nowadays condition is that k "TAKEN AS GRANTED"....

2. Arslan Jutt (Agronomy):
1)Pehly baat to humain us level ka prhaya nhi jata
2)Practically kaam nhi krwaty
Solution yehi hai k students ko full facilities provide ki Jain
Lab work zyada sy zyada krwaya jay
Or practically kaam ko zyada sy zyada promote Kia jay Tak k hr bnda apni apni field main expert ho

3. Gulzaar Gujjar (Food Science):
By increasing practical work and decreasing learning materials

4. Dr. Raheela Aslam (Nutritionist):
Because now a days scale of intelligence is just based on Number/Grades you attain in your academic life. Practical exposure is like zero  in our system. Institutes are producing robots they have no concern about learning and seeking, their aim is production of educated students.
Institutes are just running their Bussiness. At the same time we are equally  responsible for this Bcz we are just passionate  about getting degree we have no concern about learning.
So every Bussiness  is running on demand.
This system will only improve when we stop measuring grades and students level of intelligence  on the base of their result card.
Reforms should start from basic levels like from Pre schools to onward. And try to engage students in activities that could be scientific activities etc
First of all they check our confidence level. How we speak?how we stand and where we stand. They directly never ask you a scientific question.
Personality grooming is 1st point that only can improve by practical participation of students.
They are not wasting our time they are just following a map of mids, Assignment's finals and that's it.

5. Abdul Rafay (Laboratory college):
They are only manufacturing job seekers and ATM machines.
⛔Life is limited to Career
⛔Career is limited to qualification
⛔Qualification is limited to education
⛔Education is limited to studies
⛔Studies are limited to Marks.
⛔Marks are limited to Job
⛔Job is only limited to make money.
So indirectly.  🔜 LIFE=MONEY.✔    Because flavours like knowledge ,wisdom, morality ,humanity and God is missing.

6. Muneeb Shakir (Horticulture Dept.):
University ka kam hota he sirf protocol dena. Research ke liye alag institution hote hn. Jase Nibji Nayab
Protocol develop kar ke dena matlab kay  yar yahn pr ap ye sikhte ho ke research karni kase he uska layout kya ho ga

7. Dr. Wajeeha Ch (Literature):
Basically we are materialised and think of individual benefits no one care for others likewise unfortunately our institutions produce graduates not intellectuals...the purpose is to get degree job and than money and buy branded items wear them .eat burgers...... and tell people we are good than them.I think status symbol .
This system can be improved by making students serious and teachers loyal ............. by making them realize that they are not alone and have a society........oooh it's an awesome ideal thinking.......practically there should be stop to cramming (rata bazi)papers should be conceptual not copy paste.......in graduation practical work should be more than copy work......encourage students to bring innovative ideas and win a prize......there must be opportunity which we lack right now......
Moreover there should be only one medium in whole country no discrimination between institutions and syllabus more over ten decades old syllabus should be changed

8. Miss Samra Naeem (Rural Sociology):
Due to privatization of institutes. Management have only concern with capital. You can elaborate it as a business. Less capital-->Max. Profit. That's it.

9. Sheikh Asad Ijaz (Food Sciences):
Jb tk hm apne ap ko change nhi krein ga tb tk kuch nhi ho skta.
Jo scientists bnte han wo bhi hmare jaise hi log han.

10. Usman Haider M. Phill scholar  (Soil Science):
I think that  practical work is more important than theoretical knowledge. My thoughts about M.Phil is that 100 percent practical work should be done in M.Phil and then assign the marks to students and 80 percent practical work and 20 percent theoretical knowledge must be included in BS level. Because in foreign countries this type of pattern of education is adopted in every student's life ......

Editor's Views:
A nation can make progress by applied knowledge and through expertise in their respective fields. The Scientists think, therefore with studies, the critical thinking must be there as well. Teachers should deliver lecture in depth of the students level of understanding. Especially Pakistani Universities professors must change their attitude to change the future of the state. We hope that teachers and students together will step forward towards scientific Pakistan.
